Tanisha Matthews

Tanisha Matthews is a workshop facilitator with over 17 years of expertise as a Credit Card Expert at a Canadian bank. Her passion lies in empowering women of colour and their children to triumph over financial stress and embark on a transformative path to financial well-being. Leveraging her personal story as a single mother who struggled with debt and her extensive banking experience, Tanisha created Purpose and Finance - a personal finance brand aimed at empowering young professionals to build a secure economic future.

She has been invited to speak at several events, including the Future Black Female Black History Event, and has appeared on the Nikki Clarke Show to discuss financial wellness. Tanisha recently conducted a financial literacy workshop at the University of Guelph in Canada, which specifically addressed the challenges that BIPOC students face in wealth-building.

Her favourite scripture, Deuteronomy 8:18, serves as a constant reminder that God grants the power to acquire wealth. Tanisha also enjoys listening to personal finance podcasts in her free time.
